Very Good Identical Pair of Turkish Kubur Pistols - 9565

Kubur in Turkish refers to "Saddle Pistols", or "Horse Pistols". They will usually come in pairs and worn in a special holster or as a pair stuck in the robe sash. The identical pair offered here is early to mid 19 C, mounted with European made flintlock locks, very finely engraved. Barrels are marked with the maker sign stamped in brass in three places on the barrels. Finely chased silver butt mounts and white metal stock mounts. Barrel length 12 inches. Total 20 inches. Very good condition. Locks in perfect working order. One of the locks hammer is repaired. |
