This Kris is an early version, probably late 18 to early 19 C. The fine blade is straight, 20 1/2 inches long with two narrow fullers running to the very tip of the blade (yet we do not think the blade is shortened or re shaped). The upper part is finely engraved and inlaid with silver wires. Two steel clamps are reinforcing the blade in the handle. The grip is covered with fiber. Ivory Cockatoo style pommel. Wood scabbard (Later, and may be not made for this blade). total length 28 inches. Very good condition. Minor blackened spots on the blade. Fine age patina on the pommel. A rare form.
