This very fine yataghan sword is Turkish, early to mid 19 C. Fine blade 23 inches long with silver inlay (true inlay) decoration and inscription in Arabic letters ( Probably maker and/or owner name) Gilded silver bolsters and grip strap and fine walrus ivory grips. Leather covered scabbard, with spiral stitched seam and big gilded chased silver locket and chape. Total length 30 inches. Very good plus condition with minor age cracks on the grips (as common in such Yataghans). A very fine, complete authentic and original item.
