Early and rare, 17 C. or earlier Khanjar dagger from central or Southern India. Re-curving blade with central rib. Whole steel handle finely pierced, with a bird head shaped pommel and a D guard. Blade length 10 inches. Total length 14 1/2 inches. Good condition to age. Heavy patina on the blade with small patches of pitted spots. Traces of silver cover.
