This fine big Qama dagger is Georgian, late 19 to early 20 C. Heavy blade 19 inches long, 2 inches wide, with off centered fullers and deep maker mark. Fine single massive horn handle, with fine fibrous structure (may be Rhino), with finely nielloed mounts and rivets. The scabbard is mounted with big silver locket and chape decorated in niello en suite with the handle. Georgian inscription in niello on the back of the locket. Total length 25 1/2 inches. Very good condition. Minor edge nicks on the blade.
