Up for sale is this very good Turkish Shamshir saber, with a curved, single edge blade forged from fine Wootz (Damascus) steel, 31 inches long. A maker mark is chiseled into the blade. Classical shape hilt with steel cross guard and grip strap and horn grips. Wood scabbard with black leather cover with spiral stitch trimming and steel mounts with two carrying rings. Total length 39 inches. Very good condition. De-lamination crack along the spine. Losses to the leather and to the spiral stitched trim
