This is a classical Jambiya dagger of the Kurdish people. Probably east Turkey, early 20C. Double edged curved blade with a central rib 10 inches long. I shaped grip from black horn with four silver domes made from old Turkish coins dated 1327 (1909 in the Gregorian calendar), riveting the handle to the blade. Wood scabbard covered with finely tooled leather. Total length 17 1/2 inches. Very good condition.
