This magnificent riding whip is coming probably from the Caucasus. The silver handle is inscribed in Niello: with the name of the owner (Pechiettin Basak) ??. The shaft is dark wood bound with spiral silver band and the whip is braided silver. Total length (open) 40 inches. Superb workmanship of the 19 century in very good condition. Minor dents to the handle silver.
