This dagger is Turkish, kindjal style with a fine fullered blade, very clearly stamped with the maker name in three places and dated to 1312 (1894 in the Gregorian calendar). The blade is etched in an interesting unusual design in an attempt to imitate pattern welded steel. Blade length 14 inches. Black horn grip. Wood scabbard covered with fabric and mounted with brass locket and chape (later). Total length 19 inches. Very good condition.
