Very Good Persian Qajar Period, Jambiya Dagger - 9456

This very good dagger is coming from Persia, late Qajar period, second half of the 19 C. The curved double edge blade of very classical form is finely etched to imitate A wootz pattern. The upper part of the blade is finely chiseled with dense floral design. the handle is bone , very finely carved with the images of crowned kings / emperors and empress. Scabbard covered in green velvet and silver tip (both recent). Total length 17 inches. Very good condition. Minor patches of pitting on the blade. Old crack in the hilt. |
