Up for sale is this very good Caucasian Kindjal dagger. 15 inches slender blade, well forged with off centered central fullers, marked and engraved with Arabic letters. Front grip slab of walrus ivory and the back one of horn, domed silver rivets and nice silver grip strap with granulation design. Scabbard covered with black leather and mounted with nielloed silver locket and chape. The Chape is marked with Arabic letters and the date of 1325 (corresponding to 1907 in the Gregorian calendar). Total length 22 inches. Very good condition.
