Upfor sale is this very good yatghan sword, most probably from central / North Tiurkey but with a strong influence from the Caucasus region. The down curving blade is 27 inches long with a strong T spine10 mm thick, marked with a maker stamp. Steel handle and bolsters inlaid with brass and mounted with silver grips beautifully decorated with Niello design. T shaped pommel ears from black horn. Original scabbard covered with black leather and mounted with Nielloed silver locket, chape and belt attachment bands. Total length 34 inches. Very good condition.
