This very good axe is also known as Tabarzine, or saddle axe. The heavy blade is 3 inches wide, 5 inches tall, forged from very good steel. The original handle is wood, 21 inches long. The blade is very richly decorated with gold and silver koftgari work with inscription with Arabic letters. Very good condition. Good age patina on the blade and on the wood handle. Minor losses to the koftgari decoration on the blade.
