The Pata Indian gauntlet Sword that was evolved from the Kattar push dagger and was in use during several centuries in India. This one is probably early to mid 18 C. with a 37 single edge blade heavy and nicely fullered, most probably of European origin. The hand gauntlet is made of steel. Total length 48 inches. Excellent condition. No scabbard. A rare unique and impressive item.
