This short knife in the shape of a small Yataghan is of Turkish origin, early to mid 19 C also known as Bichaq. Its single edge blade is 9 inches long, forged from pattern welded steel in the pattern known as Turkish Ribbon. The Handle is covered with engraved silver, The bolsters are silver and the scabbard is finely chased silver with wood liners. Total length 15 inches. Very good condition. Few pitted spots on the blade and repairs on the bolsters.
