Up for sale is this very unusual spear, origin un clear but most probably North West Sahara, may be Tuareg or Mandingo. The multi blade head has its main blade 7 1/2 inches long with four side blades, all mounted on a 10 inches tang and socket. Fine wood haft with ivory tail. Total length 49 inches. Very good condition. Minor signs of tip bending on the main blade. Excellent shining age patina on the hardwood haft. The attribution to North / West Sahara comes mainly from the file work on the socket and the multi blade head.
