This rare dagger is coming from Indonesia, probably Dayak from Kalimantan. It is made in the style of Arab Jambiya daggers with a heavy curved double edge blade, 8 inches long with a massive central rib. Polished wood handle with a pommel shaped as a parrot head and set with fine silver mounts. Wood scabbard with horn locket and silver chape. Total length 13 inches. Very good condition. Shining age patina to the wood and horn parts. Minor dent on the scabbard tip and small age crack on the handle. A very fine item in very good condition.
