A beautiful Jambiya Dagger from Kurdistan. The blade is 10 inches long (point to point) curved and double edge, forged from very good Wootz (Damascus) steel, with a central rib. The hilt is “I” shaped cut from black, water buffalo horn and set with filigree silver domes on the cross guard and on the pommel. The scabbard is made of heavy silver in a typical Kurd style. Total length in scabbard is 16”. Very good condition. Patches of pitted spots on the blade. This is an authentic late 19th C. item.
