This fine Kard knife is most probably coming from North India or the neighboring Pakistan / Afghanistan. Very good wootz blade of high contrast pattern, 9 1/2 inches long. Walrus ivory grip with a silver collar (later added probably to cover a breakage in the ivory). Wood scabbard covered with golden color velvet (later), with the original gilded copper locket and chape. Total length 16 inches. Very good condition. The gilding of the mounts is mostly gone.
