This very good shield is Indian, early to mid 19 C. 13 1/2 inches diameter, heavy steel set with four bosses and finely decorated with brass Flowers around the rim and a snake shape figure all inlaid with gold and silver koftgari work. Original inner red fabric and handles and hand cushion. Very good condition. Some losses to the silver inlay (The gold inlay is almost intact). Very elegant shield
