A classical high quality Persian Shamshir sword. Late 18 C. Simple, nothing flamboyant, no extra decoration but the best blade and fittings, meant for a sword real work. Single edge 32 Inches long, forged from very fine wootz steel, as best as it can get. Black horn grips with steel cross guard and pommel cap. Original scabbard with black tooled leather with steel belt suspension rings. Both the cross guard and the belt suspension rings are also forged from very fine wootz steel. Total length 38 Inches. Very good condition. Some losses and damage to the scabbard leather. The scabbard tip, originally a steel one is missing and replaced with a leather one. A very fine sword.
