The GURADE is the Ethiopian saber. They usually have European imported blades, mounted with typical Ethiopian horn hilt. This specific one has a 33 inches long blade, with single fuller, probably European but without any marking. The hilt is three pieces horn, of very distinct fibrous structure. The scabbard is tooled leather, with an up-curving tip typical to the Ethiopian sabers. Total length 38 inches. Good condition. Old sharpening signs on the blade and few edge nicks. The upper pommel part of the hilt has old chips of horn. The tip of the scabbard is damaged.
