Up for sale is this early 19 C. Yataghan sword, Turkish origin with a short 19 inches blade with maker mark. Finely engraved silver handle, bolsters and scabbard, with classical ottoman symbols and with what might be a date 1217 ( Corresponding to 1802 in the Gregorian calendar). Total length 25 inches. Good condition. Minor bent of the blade near the heel. Light dents to the pommel ears. Old cracks and repairs on the scabbard silver.
