This very interesting short sword is Persia, Qajar period, late 19 C. It shows influence from both the Northern regions Qama daggers and Persian late 19 C. revival swords. Blade is leaf shaped, with a central fuller, decorated on one face with gold koftgari work. Whole steel handle. Blade length 13 inches. Total length 19 inches. Good condition. Some losses to the gold koftgari work. Lightly reshaped blade tip. .
