The Pulwar’ is the Afghan relative of the Indian Tulwar. The Pulwar hilt has a very distinct shape, with down curving quillons. The one offered here for sale is a good heavy fighting sword, with well forged heavy steel blade, 30 inches long, well fullered with a raised back edge. The steel handle is of typical pulwar shape. Total length 36 inches. Very good condition. Minor damage to the pommel plate.
