This is a rare form of a Yataghan sword, employing a Yataghan shaped blade with a Shamshir style cross guard and handle. Very well forged, down curving blade, 29 inches long marked with a maker mark. Brass cross guard. Horn grips with silver on pewter grip strap. Total length 34 inches. Very good condition. Minor edge nicks and losses to the grip strap.
