Up for sale is this Turkish Yataghan sword, late 18 C. Dated to 1214 (1799 in the Gregorian calendar). 22 inches down curving blade, inscribed and dated with a silver inlay (true inlay) work. Bone grips with silver over tin/lead grip strap and bolsters. Scabbard covered with the original black leather and iron sheet locket and chape (later). Total length 28 1/2 inches. Good condition. Pitted spots and c\scratches on the blade. Very low price.
