Up for sale is this knife, styled as a parang sword, most probably of Sumatra origin, late 19 to early 20 C. The blade is 13 1/2 inches long, forged from fine pamor steel and finelu engraved on both sides with Arabic inscription. The handle is black horn and the pommel top is Ivory. Wood scabbard painted black and mounted with iron mounts. Total length 18 1/2 inches. Very good condition. Minor horn chips on the grip.
