Up for sale is this unusual Pedang Lurus - The short sword from Java, Indonesia. The short, down curving blade is 17 ½ inches long. It is single edged with a long double edge tip and forged from fine pamor steel. The handle is beautifully carved black horn with a silver covered back and pommel top. The scabbard is wood covered with dark brown leather and mounted with silver bands, somewhat reminding scabbards of European military swords. Total length 22 inches. Very good condition. Seams of the leather cover partially open. Minor dents to the silver. Very attractive price.
