This very fine Kard knife is of Turkish origin, probably early to mid 19 C. It incorporate a very fine wootz blade, 5 1/2 inches long. The handle is carved from a single piece of green Jade with finely pierced silver bolster and a silver rosette at the pommel, set with small turquoise stone. This kard comes with its original scabbard, covered with green velvet and mounted with silver locket and chape. Total length 10 inches. Very good condition. Small loss to the fabric seam trim line. A very fine and complete piece.
