This very fine Kattar push dagger is probably 18 C, from the armory of Bikaner, characterized by the fine steel work, clean lines, fine wootz steel and the punched dot armory markings. 8 inches blade 3 inches wide, with a central rib and armor piercing tip. As common to similar items, the edges are left highly polished and only the central area of the blade is etched to reveal the wootz pattern. Original leather covered scabbard with pierced silver tip (new). Total length 15 inches. Very good condition. A fine and impressive Kattar.
