A Classical Persian dagger, late 18 to early 19 C, also known as Khanjar or Jambiya. The deeply curved blade is 8 1/2 inches long, with a central rib. Forged from high quality high contrast wootz (Damascus, watered) steel. Solid I shaped walrus ivory handle. Total length 13 1/2 inches. Very good condition. minor pitted spots near the blade tip. An age crack on the back side of the grip but it holds very solid. No scabbard. Very low price.
