From the island of Sardinia in the Western Mediterranean comes this scarce long gun. Slender barrel, 47 inches long with a fine unusual variety of a Miquelet lock. Wood stock carved on the butt and mounted with finely pierced and engraved steel plates. Total length 59 inches. Very good condition. Lock in very good working order. Minor blackened spots on the barrel. Repaired cracks on the stock. One of the finely pierced steel plate below the barrel is restored. A fine scarce item.
