Up for sale is this very fine rifle of Albanian origin, characterised by the long slender stock and flared butt. The 47 1/2 inches barrel is finely forged from twisted steel bars (Damascus), marked in two spots on the top and finely decorated with gold inlay work on the rear side and gold and silver inlay at the muzzle. Finely engraved miquelet lock in perfect working order. The stock is wood, covered with heavy engraved silver alloy of low silver content. The barrel is attached to the stock with several chased silver bands. Total length 59 inches. Very good condition. Two repaired cracks in the silver (very solid). Minor losses to the gold inlay.
