Up for sale is this very fine Koumaya Dagger from Morocco dated to 131(?) which could be any year between 1310 to 1319 (1892 to 1901 in the Gregorian calendar). Classical blade, 9 inches long, double edged at its lower half and single edged at the top with traces of round marking at the top. The handle is carved from a single massive piece of Rhino horn with a very clear fibrous structure. The pommel head is chased silver as well as the grip collars and scabbard, which are marked with the local silver proof mark and dated to 131(?). This dagger comes with its original black and white cotton baldric hanging belt. Total length 16 inches. Very good plus condition.
