This Khayber sword is a good example of a large and well made one. The massive blade is 27 inches long with a pronounce T spine. It is well forged from pattern welded (Damascus) steel with somewhat crude pattern. Very fine elephant ivory grips and gold inlaid koftgari work on the bolsters and grip strap. The wood scabbard is covered with two color fabric and comes with a silver chape tip. Total length 32 inches. Very good condition, Some losses to the gold koftgari on the bolsters. Cracks and repairs of the scabbard. The golden color trim strip is recent. A very impressive sword.
