The GURADE is the Ethiopian saber. They usually have European imported blades, mounted with typical Ethiopian hilt. This specific one has a wide, 27 inches long thick blade engraved with Amharic letters and Ethiopian symbols. The hilt is dense wood. The pommel cap is chased brass. Total length 31 inches. Very good condition. Minor blackened spots on the blade and small wood chips and age cracks on the handle. No scabbard.
