This is very fine small Kard knife, from central Asia, Bukhara or Turkmenistan. The blade, although only 6 inches long, is elegantly forged from very fine Persian Wootz steel, of clear high pattern. Steel bolster. Handle is carved from fine light green Jade. This dagger comes with its original leather on wood scabbard with chased silver locket and chape. Total length 9 1/2 inches. Very good condition. A fine early 19 C. knife.
