Very Fine, Early Rare and Heavy Khukuri / Kukri Knife - 8767
Up for sale is this early Khukuri knife, probably early 19 C. or earlier. Heavy blade with two shallow fullers , known also as the Dui Chira style. Steel handle finely engraved. Wood scabbard with a steel tip and original backside compartments for accessories. This Khukuri comes with two kardas (small knives), one bigger than the other, both with the rare antler handles. Blade length 14 1/2 inches. Blade width 2 1/2 . Total length 20 inches. Very good condition. Few worm holes (non active) in the scabbard. Fine scarce item. This Khukuri comes from the collection of John Powell, SF, a world known collection of Nepalese and related weapons.
