This Klewang sword is coming from Sumatra, and in a way it is similar to the Sikin sword used by the Ache people as well as this sword. The blade is 25 inches long, up-curving with a shallow fuller and dropping spine at the tip. The black horn handle is finely carved with a geometrical decorative design, with a polygonal bolster and forged pommel. Wood scabbard with silver bands and nice ivory scabbard locket. Total length 32 inches. Very good condition. Minor grinding scratches on the blade. Repaired and re-glued scabbard mouth. The scabbard wood and silver bands are later.
