We are not sure as to the origin and age of this Khukuri style knife. Heavy 14 1/2 inches long blade well forged of very good steel. Steel bolsters and checkered wood handle. This unusual Khukuri comes in a well made original leather bag with a compartment for a small knife (Karda). Total length 19 inches. Very good condition. We assume Indian origin, early to mid 20 C. A good impressive knife. This Khukuri comes from the collection of John Powell, SF, a world known collection of Nepalese and related weapons.
