Up for sale is this classical Yataghan sword from the Balkan region of the Ottoman empire, dated to 1274 (1857 in the Gr4egorian calendar). The blade is 25 inches long decorated with silver koftgari work. Walrus grips with big side ears and brass grip strap and bolsters. Total length 29 1/2 inches. Good condition. Few scratches and re-sharpening signs on the blade. Losses to the koftgari work. A piece of the left grip replaced with a bone sector. No Scabbard.
