We offer here for sale an early 20 Century war shield from Somalia. It is 12 1/2 inches in diameter and made from heavy Buffalo (?) hide, very nicely tooled with design of circles around its center. The inner handle is bound with fabric and the center of the inner side is lightly painted with black and red colors. Very good condition. The fabric cover of the handle is worn and damaged. The paint on the inner side faded.
