Old Khukuri in a Very Decorative Scabbard - 8567

This is NOT a tourist piece although it might look so. This is an old Khukuri, probably 1940-50, 12 inches blade, brass bolsters and wood handle The scabbard fittings are gilded copper with elaborate filigree work, set with colored red, blue and turquoise stones). Total length 16 inches. Very good condition. Accompanied crudely made Kardas (small knives). This Khukuri comes from the collection of John Powell, SF, a world known collection of Nepalese and related weapons. |
