Up for sale is this fine Balkan Yataghan with walrus ivory grips with big ears set with ribbed coral stones. Finely forged blade dated to 1218 (1803 in the Gregorian calendar) 23 inches long richly silver inlaid (true inlay) with inscription in Arabic letters. Well made wood scabbard with leather cover and big locket and chape made from finely chased silver. Total length 32 inches. Very good condition. A small damage to the right bolster. Leather cover is replaced. A fine piece.
