This helmet is of Indian origin, early 19C. or earlier, with a ribbed dome and mail collar. The helmet is of slightly elliptical shape, 7 1/2 X 8 inches and 5 inches tall. It was finely polished and decorated with fine silver koftgari work of floral design and inscription in Arabic letters. Fair condition. Most of the silver work is gone. Areas of pitting. Nasal protector and top spike are missing.
