It is rarely that such a complete piece appears on the market: A Balkan Yataghan with walrus ivory grips with big ears set with ribbed coral stones. Finely forged blade 23 inches long, inscribed Work of Hassan, owner Imad and dated to 1257 (1841 in the Gregorian calendar) . Well made wood scabbard with the original fabric cover and big locket and chape made from finely chased silver. Total length 31 inches. All in next to perfect condition. All parts original and authentic. A very fine piece.
