This Persian dagger is from the Qajar period, second half of the 19 C. The classical shape blade with central rib is 11 inches long, very finely etched to imitate watered steel. The upper part of the blade as well as the steel handle are finely decorated with gold and silver koftgari work. Total length 16 inches. Good condition. Minor losses to the gold / silver work. A small area of the blade was over cleaned where the etched pattern is lost.
