We offer for sale this knife of the Bagobo tribe, Mindanao, Philippines usually known as women’s knife. The blade is up-curving 6 1/2 inches long, single edge at the convex side. The hilt is grained wood. The angle of the blade to the hilt allow to hold the knife only with the edge upside or in the direction of the holder. Wood scabbard bound with braided rattans covered with black lacquer, decorated with white glass bids, hair tufts and small cotton balls. Total length 14 inches. Very good condition. A fine authentic piece.
