Large Georgian Kindjal / Qama with Unusual Handle - 8657


Up for sale is this Qama short sword from Georgia from the end of the 19 C. Big wide and well made blade17 inches long and 2 inches wide. The blade is marked with a deep maker stamp and the central fullers are etched in a design to imitate twisted steel. The grips are horn with very big rivets heads made from horn and bone pieces glued together, set with round bone inserts. The scabbard is covered with black leather with a big ball tip, also made from horn and bone pieces. Total length 25 inches. Very good condition.
